Proposed Pork Export Reporting Rule

USDA has published a proposed rule that would add reporting for pork (fresh, chilled, frozen box/primal cuts) to the Export Sales Reporting Requirements.  The purpose is to provide market transparency and enable the U.S. commodity markets and the U.S. industries to conduct more accurate and timely analysis on the U.S. market conditions.  The Mandatory Price Reporting Act of 2010 mandates that pork be added to the Export Sales Reporting Requirements.  Public comments are due by Aug. 24.
