The hog market saw incredible swells this week, spurred by the weather and a wild rumor of a case of African swine fever in Iowa.

Exports were 12% of weekly pork production, with Mexico leading sales, followed by Japan and then China.

Bauer recommends paying attention to the weather over the weekend as it could greatly influence the market with drought continues in some key areas.
