Max Armstrong discusses the challenge of avian influenza which has let to the death of 47 million birds according to USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. A lot of those deaths have been with turkeys which may lead to a shortage of birds for Thanksgiving. But the National Turkey Federation shares that consumers buying a frozen turkey will be able to find one, but purchase of a fresh bird that’s not frozen will be in tight supply.
