Sow Lactation Feeder Offered
The PigTek Ad-Lib Lactation Feeder enables the sow to eat as much as her daily ration allows. The ad-libitum feeding system offers a better way to manage lactating sows as it maximizes feed intake, helps maintain sow body condition and improves piglet growth. Feeders can be filled automatically or manually, according to management preference. Producers can use PigTek’s CHORE-TIME Feed Delivery System to fill lactation feeders automatically. A sow must actuate the feeder to dispense the feed, thus allowing her to eat her fill and keep feed fresh. A clear, indexed feed tube helps producers verify the amount of feed being consumed. PigTek’s DOSFLOW Volumetric Drop Feeder or the CHORE-TIME Portion Control Drop Feeder accurately dispenses a pre-determined amount of feed multiple times a day. An optional stainless steel hopper holds up to 15 lb. of feed. Learn more at www.pigtek.net.

Flooring Options
Osborne Industries, Inc. has added plastic and galvanized steel flooring for nursery and farrowing to provide customized options for pork producers. Interlocking plastic flooring provides firm support for growing animals. Plastic flooring naturally feels warmer, important to growing pigs in nursery buildings. Galvanized flooring for nursery or farrowing is designed to provide animal comfort. The bar spacing pattern in the flooring helps reduce leg issues. Custom-designed, recessed areas in the flooring allow for installation of Osborne’s Stanfield Heat Pads. In farrowing, a two-piece, self-supporting, cast-iron system provides stability and sure footing for the sow. For more information, visit www.osbornelivestockequipment.com.

Baytril 100 can be used as an effective treatment tool in pigs at eight to 12 weeks in finishing and as a health management tool to control SRD in the nursery and farrowing barn.
