Bret Oelke, University of Minnesota Extension educator, who specializes in farm business management, will discuss how developing and implementing a sound risk management program that accounts for input costs and revenue will greatly improve cash flow and future sustainability. Oelke will review the previous two years of volatility and changes in the hog profitability cycle.

Participants are encouraged to link to the program a few minutes early to assure there are no connection problems. Questions follow the presentation. The webinar will be archived at the University of Minnesota Swine Extension web site.

PorkCast is a quarterly online seminar sponsored by the Minnesota Pork Board and University of Minnesota Extension Swine Program.
