Illinois Pork Producers Association has approved a new statewide membership program effective July 1, 2002.

The new structure sets producer dues at 5 cents/head for market hogs and 3 cents/head for feeders/weaners. It also calls for dues of $100 for contract producers, $50 for employees, $100 for allied industry, $100 for organizations, $25 for associates and $10 for youth.

“The Pork Act does not allow IPPA to spend checkoff dollars on important legislative and regulatory issues, so it is imperative that we have strong participation in this membership program,” says Mark Gebben, IPPA president from Casey, IL.
