Environmental Tillage Systems, Inc., (ETS), a leading manufacturer of conservation tillage, integrated planting and nutrient management equipment, has brought together Kevin Born, John Ahlberg, and Craig Hiemstra to expand its leadership team.
Kevin Born was named ETS Chief Executive Officer in fall 2010. Most recently he worked as co-founder and Vice President of Sales for Adayana, Inc. His wide range of business management and consulting experience includes work for companies such as John Deere, Kraft Foods and Pioneer Hi-Bred. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and dual Master’s degrees in Agricultural Education, and Crop Production and Physiology. Born’s combined professional experience, education and upbringing on a cash grain farm in Minnesota have given him a thorough understanding of the financial and intellectual requirements of managing a profitable business and farming operation.
John Ahlberg joined the ETS leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. He is formerly of Adayana, Inc., where he held a General Manager position and specialized in acquisition of strategic domestic and international customers in new markets development. Ahlberg received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accountancy from the University of Iowa and has spent his 25-year career providing professional consulting and financial services to a variety of companies, such as Clifton Gunderson and Co. and Ag Technologies International, LLC.
Craig Hiemstra has been named ETS’s National Sales Manager. He has more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneurial executive with agriculture, biosciences, telecommunications, technology, equipment, and environmental businesses. Before joining ETS, he was co-founder of a concept to commercialize a carbon credit trading platform for FCStone and has been involved in a variety of venture initiatives. Hiemstra also spent 10 years with Monsanto serving in a variety of sales, marketing, business development and management roles. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and his Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Iowa State University.
