It’s a fact of life that livestock farms will experience periodic mortalities. The Iowa Pork Industry Center says having a working plan to properly manage routine and emergency mortalities is vital to producer success.

Because each farm is different, disposal methods may vary by cost and the access to local resources, labor and environment.
