Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns has appointed Longford, KS, pork producer Roy Henry to serve a one-year term on the National Pork Board.
The vacancy occurred when Carol Hein of Missouri resigned to take a job outside the pork industry.
Nationally, Henry will serve on the Pork Checkoff's Pork Safety Committee. He will also serve on three committees within the Pork Board — budget, audit and administrative.
Henry is owner of Henrys, Ltd., a 1,500-sow, farrow-to-finish operation that markets 25,000 hogs/year.
