Jill Appell has been appointed vice president of the National Pork Producers Council to replace Lois Britt of Mount Olive, NC, who died June 4.
Jill and Paul Appell run a sow operation in Altona, IL. She has served in numerous leadership roles including state executive director of Rural Development in Illinois, president of the Illinois Pork Producers Association and on the Illinois governor's Livestock Task Force and the Council for Food and Agricultural Research.
