May 21, 2010 - Osborne Industries, Inc. was recently named a finalist for the 2010 Kansas Governor’s Exporter of the Year award. The Governor’s Exporter of the Year award recognizes a Kansas company for demonstrating excellence in export sales and international marketing. Osborne Industries is one of five finalists competing for the award.
“Efficiency-driven pig production in other countries has created a demand for Osborne livestock equipment and growth in our export market,” said Steve Langley, Osborne Industries President. The company increased export sales by 73 percent from 2006-09, including a 37 percent increase from 2008-09. From traditional products like heat pads and feeders to automated swine equipment, Osborne products have been exported to 44 countries around the world. “Producers from all around the world are contacting Osborne because we have a strong reputation for training, support and service after the sale,” noted Langley.
Steve Langley, President, George Eakin, Vice President, Vicki Corbett, Customer Service Manager, and Claudio Faundez, Product Manager, represented Osborne Industries on April 29 with a presentation of the company’s success in front of the Kansas International Trade Coordinating Council (KITCC) in Topeka, Kansas. The winner of the Governor’s Exporter of the Year award will be announced by the KITCC on June 29.
