Leman Conference Set for September

The Leman Swine Conference is scheduled for Sept. 15-18 at RiverCentre in St. Paul, MN.

Weekend pre-conference workshops (Sept. 15-16) cover reproduction, production/financial data, diagnostics, economics, swine disease eradication and a nutrition workshop focusing on higher feed costs.

The morning general session on Sept. 17 includes a discussion on area spread of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and effective pay performance programs.

Other sessions on Sept. 17 cover analysis of production and financial records for sows and growing pigs, analyzing costs, neonatal pig diarrhea, alternative therapies, PRRS and porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), the impact of farrowing flow on growing pigs, managing the sow barn and managing finishers.

The morning general session on Sept. 18 features a look at the science of pig production and PCV2.
Other sessions Sept. 18 include computer analyses, field experiences with swine diseases and spotlight on the end product.
