Iowa Veterinarian Passes Away

The American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) announces that Bernard J. “Bernie” Curran, DVM, passed away June 18 at his home in Park View, IA, after an extended illness.

Curran had been a member of the AASV since receiving his DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1974.

He was recognized as the 2007 Swine Practitioner of the Year at the association’s annual meeting in March in Orlando, FL.

Curran was a founder and partner of Scott County Animal Hospital in Eldridge, IA.
