The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) appointed a new slate of officers and board members at Pork Industry Forum, Atlanta, GA.

Keith Berry is the new NPPC president. He and his son operate a 125-sow, farrow-to-finish operation and farm 1,500 acres near Greencastle, IN.

Don Buhl of Tyler, MN, is the new NPPC president-elect. He owns Buhl’s Ridge View Farm Inc., a wean-to-finish operation that markets 20,000 hogs/year.

Joy Philippi, Bruning, NE, is the new NPPC vice president. She owns Pine Valley, LLC, which includes a 2,000-head nursery that handles 14,000 pigs/year for a local producer network.

New members of the NPPC board of directors include: Ric Morren, Beresford, SD, owner of Lincoln Pork, a feeder pig finishing business and allied industry representative Charles Loefer, Quincy, IL, ADM Animal Health and Nutrition.
