Prairie Swine Center is building a $1 million interpretive center and viewing gallery at its Elstow research farm near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The new center will include a biosecure walkway and 12 large windows so visitors can look directly into all production rooms.

One goal of the center is make information about pork production available to the public, says John Patience, president and CEO.

Saskatchewan Pork Producers Association contributed $215,000 to the project.
