Former chairs of Council of Economic Advisers urge Congress to pass TPA

A bipartisan group of former chairs of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers are urging Congress to pass Trade Promotion Authority and the Trans Pacific Partnership. The 14 former chairs, representing every administration from President Gerald Ford to Barack Obama, in a letter to the Congressional leadership cited the economic and consumer benefits resulting from TPA and TPP, as well as benefits for U.S. global leadership, as reasons for their support.
