Financial Management Conference
The 2005 Financial Management Conference is July 17-20 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, CA.

George Young Conference Has PRRS Focus
The George Young Swine Health and Management Conference is on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS).

Scott Dee, DVM, University of Minnesota, will discuss PRRS transmission and biosecurity. Locke Karriker, DVM, Iowa State University, will address PRRS eradication techniques. Eric Neumann, DVM, National Pork Board, will discuss coordinated industry efforts to fund PRRS education and research.
Rodger Johnson, University of Nebraska, will review PRRS as a model for genetics of disease resistance. Joel Nerem, DVM, Christensen Farms, Sleepy Eye, MN, will discuss PRRS biosecurity, monitoring and surveillance. Dale Polson of Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. will assess PRRS risks for swine production sites.
Manure Handling Expo
The third biennial Upper Midwest Manure Handling Expo is Aug. 11 at the University of Minnesota Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca, MN.
The program includes field equipment demonstrations, vendor displays and educational sessions.

Identification Program Planned
The National Institute for Animal Agriculture is sponsoring a conference and trade show on animal identification and information.
ID/INFO EXPO 2005 is slated for Sept. 27-29 at the Crown Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel.
The focus is on the proposed National Animal Identification System (NAIS), an industry/government cooperative effort, coordinated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
A one-of-a-kind trade show will showcase a variety of animal identification manufacturers and information systems service providers.
