Antimicrobial use and antibiotic residues are a concern for pork producers. In recent years they have had a sterling record, but regulatory changes are still anticipated. Jim McKean, DVM, Iowa State University Extension veterinarian, says producers and packers should be prepared for increased residue testing in coming days.
