New Web Tool Aimed at Improving Feed Utilization

The National Pork Board has launched a new Web page aimed at helping pork producers optimize feed costs and maximize production efficiencies.

The new Nutritional Efficiency section includes information about research, activity priorities, and the recently formed nutritional efficiency consortium.

The consortium includes 24 organizations comprised of state pork associations, state and national corn grower groups and allied industry partners.

Resources currently available include the video and audio presentations from the Distillers Grains: Implications for the U.S. Pork Industry conference held November 2006.

The consortium approved funding for 11 research projects. Projects are listed on the Pork Board’s Web site, www.pork.org., under the Pork Science tab. As research is completed, results will be posted on the site.
