GIPSA Rule

Farm activist groups contend the proposed Grain Inspection and Packers & Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) marketing rule will create a more level playing field for farmers, however, many producers, packers and lenders prefer the security of a contract guaranteeing a market for their product and a steady supply of products to process and sell. Any revisions to the rule are sure to reverberate throughout the pork industry.
