Renovation Help

If you are considering renovating the lighting, heating or ventilation systems in your hog buildings, or replacing an actual building, financial help may be available.

A grant program through section 906 of the 2002 Farm Bill makes funds available to cost share 25% of qualifying projects. The minimum total project cost is $10,000 that will result in a $2,500 grant.

Further information can be obtained at www.elpc.org/farmenergy.

Eligible energy-saving projects include more efficient lighting and ventilation systems and renewable energy systems such as active and passive solar energy systems, geothermal heating and cooling and anaerobic digesters.
