Ohio State Veterinarian Tony Forshey will discuss emerging issues and provide an update of activities in the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Division of Animal Industry.

Candace Croney, DVM, OSU Veterinary Medicine, will address pig production and public perception.

Jeff Hays, DVM, Pfizer Animal Health, will cover Individual Pig Care – Identifying Health and Well-Being Challenges.”

OSU Extension staff will cover Pork Quality Assurance Plus site assessments.

Mike Bumgarner, vice president of Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s Center for Food and Animal Issues, will provide an update on the Livestock Care Standards Board.

Ron Ketchum of Swine Management Services, LLC, Fremont, NE, will tackle Benchmarking and Setting Goals for Your Operation.

Jennifer Greiner, DVM, director of Science and Technology, National Pork Producers Council, will review Pigs and Politics.

Bill Minton, DVM, Minton Veterinary Service, Chickasaw, OH, will provide a viral swine disease update.

Dwain Guggenbiller, swine product and technical manager, Trouw Nutrition USA, will review mycotoxins.

Mike Mull, DVM, York Animal Hospital, Bellevue, OH, will tackle bacterial swine disease challenges.
