The Pork Checkoff is sponsoring The 2010 Pork Management Conference. Your Pork Industry Investment, June 16-18 in Hilton Head, SC.

The conference is suited for swine industry participants interested in production or finance. Featured topics include global trade, consumer trends, overall market analysis, production trends, financial management and legislative issues. Attendees will also hear a progress report on the pork industry’s We Care initiative, and how producers are integrating We Care into their operation’s culture.

“The Pork Checkoff provides this conference to offer the most up-to-date production and financial information to those with a financial stake in the success of the U.S. pork industry,” says Jon Hoek, chairman of the Pork Checkoff’s Producer Services Committee and a DeMotte, IN, pork producer.

Besides general sessions the mornings of June 16 and 17, three concurrent sessions on more specific financial and production management topics are scheduled the afternoon of June 17. The morning of June 18 features a lender panel discussion as well as sessions on current hot topics.

Registration fee is $395 per person and $435 per person after May 28.
