The 2010 Oklahoma Pork Congress and Annual Meeting has been rescheduled for March 25 at the Express Event Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
The event was rescheduled from its original date of Jan. 29 due to a winter ice and snow storm.
“We apologize for the inconvenience of having to reschedule our event. We anticipate many pork producers will still be able to join us on March 25,” says Roy Lee Lindsey Jr., executive director of the Oklahoma Pork Council.
If planning to attend, please preregister for the event by March 18, even if you registered for the original date. There is no cost to attend Pork Congress. The registration form can be found at www.okpork.org.
The schedule has been revised and the program will start with lunch at noon. The Oklahoma Pork Council, the National Pork Board and the National Pork Producers Council will discuss local and national issues.
Bob Brown, market analyst from Edmond, OK, will share his economic outlook for the pork industry in 2010.
Hall of Fame and Distinguished Service awards will be presented during the awards banquet.
The annual business meeting will include the election of new members to the board of directors and a new board president.
