Kansas Risk and Profit Conference Set

“Wild Weather, Policy Politics and Energy Equilibriums” is the theme for this year’s Risk and Profit Conference, sponsored by Kansas State University’s (KSU) Research and Extension and the department of agricultural economics.

The conference will be Aug. 16-17 at KSU’s Alumni Center in Manhattan, KS.

Keynote speakers on Aug. 16 will be Elwynn Taylor, a professor of agricultural meteorology at Iowa State University, and Sarah Fogleman, KSU Research and Extension Southeast Area economist, nationally known for her expertise in farm and ranch human resources management. Taylor will address long-run weather trends and crop yields. Fogelman will speak on cultivating a culture of success.

On Aug. 17, KSU Research and Extension agricultural economists Jim Mintert and Mike Woolverton will discuss the economic outlooks for the livestock and grain industries.
