Carthage Veterinary Service Holds Annual Conference

The 17th Annual Swine Conference sponsored by Carthage (IL) Veterinary Service, Ltd. will be held Aug. 28 at Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL.
Sessions will be presented in both English and Spanish.
Three concurrent breakout sessions cover sow housing and feeding, sow production management and wean-to-finish production.
Other morning sessions deal with summer and winter management of grow-finish pigs and the value of walking the pens.
Afternoon talks look at manure management, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, porcine circovirus type 2, the new economics of agriculture, and the markets and pork’s survival.
