Pork Management Conference Planned for May in Florida

The 2009 Pork Management Conference sponsored by the Pork Checkoff is set for May 6-8 at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, FL.

The conference will cover emerging food trends, global trade, U.S. agricultural outlook, changes in input costs, market outlook and credit analysis.

Surviving a crisis, managing employee benefit costs, real life production budgeting and hedge strategies will also be covered.

Production targets, tax update, worker safety, hiring and firing employees and activist issues are also on the agenda.

The National Pork Board and the National Pork Producers Council will address their joint efforts on the Responsible Pork Initiative.
