CAFO Meetings Planned For Early March in Missouri

A series of educational sessions are scheduled for early March in Missouri as producers start the process of renewing their confined animal feeding operation permits, according to the University of Missouri Extension.

The meetings will provide producers a chance to learn about proposed changes, how they may affect their operations and about key deadlines.

Presentations by the Missouri Department of Agriculture and the University of Missouri faculty include plenty of time for questions and answers.

Meetings will be held:

--March 1 – 1 p.m., University of Missouri Southwest Center, Mt. Vernon, MO;

--March 1 – 7 p.m., Crowder College, Neosho, MO;

--March 2 – 1 p.m., Keller Public Library, Dexter, MO;

--March 4 – 1 p.m., Floral Hall, Macon County Park, Macon, MO;

--March 4 – 7 p.m., Audrain 4-H Center, Mexico, MO;

--March 5 – 1 p.m., Alexander Student Center, North Central Missouri College, Trenton, MO;

--March 8 – 1 p.m., Farm Credit Services Meeting Room, Sedalia, MO, and

--March 8 – 7 p.m., Eldon Community Center, Eldon, MO.
