ManureTech 2007 will be held at the Dairy Forage Research Center Farm near Prairie du Sac, WI, on Aug. 21, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The show covers storage, treatment and application of manure.
“We will have demonstrations of pit agitation, tanker application and dragline injection, in addition to equipment displays,” says Kevin Erb, University of Wisconsin extension specialist and event coordinator. “Along with that, we’ll have a manure spill response demonstration, where producers can see practical steps they can take to control a manure runoff situation.”
Educational seminars will include compost barn management, sod and pasture manure application, tools for evaluating soil moisture, runoff prevention and manure management in no-till.
The show is free and a detailed agenda and list of vendors can be found at www.wimanuremgt.org.
Something bad has happened to you. It wasn't deserved and it wasn't fair. The people who did it are callous and heartless (at least in regard to you), and lazy, or they would not have done it. But they did it. It's over. It's done. You can whine and wallow in self-pity and martyrdom or pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get on with life and the business of raising quality pork.
