Former Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman was elected board chairman of the Foundation for Food and Agricultural Research (FFAR).  Mark Keenum, president of Mississippi State University, was elected to serve as vice chairman.  The FFAR was established in the 2014 farm bill. It will operate as a nonprofit corporation to focus funding on agricultural research activities with national and international significance. The farm bill provided $200 million in federal funding that must be matched by the private sector.
