The House of Representatives passed a six-month continuing resolution (CR) that will keep the federal government running through March 27, 2013. The CR is $1.047 trillion, which was the agreement from the 2011 debt limit debate. There had been talk of including the 2012 Farm Bill in the CR, but that suggestion was dropped by House Republican leadership. The CR is necessary because Congress has not passed any of the fiscal year 2013 appropriations bills.
