This year’s theme is “Agriculture: 365 Sunrises and 7 Billion Mouths to Feed.”  National Ag Day’s purpose is to encourage every American to understand how food and fiber products are produced; appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products; the role of agriculture in a strong economy; and acknowledge and consider career opportunities in agriculture.

National Ag Day was established in 1973.
